Robotics: RoboSense, a leader in LiDAR and perception solutions, unveiled its latest M Platform line of sensors at CES 2024, introducing the M2 and M3 models designed to enhance intelligent driving systems with increased range, resolution, and cost-effectiveness. The M3, the platform's first long-range LiDAR, offers a range of 300 meters at 10% reflectivity and improved angular resolution, while the M2 serves as a high-performance mid-range LiDAR, both aimed at advancing autonomous vehicle technology.

Cerence AI has partnered with NVIDIA to enhance in-car voice recognition systems by integrating NVIDIA's AI software platform into its automotive large language models. This collaboration aims to improve performance and reduce costs for automakers implementing generative AI-powered solutions in vehicles.

Nvidia: In 2024, Nvidia invested $1 billion in artificial intelligence startups, participating in 50 funding rounds and corporate deals, up from $872 million across 39 deals in 2023. These investments primarily targeted "core AI" companies with substantial computing infrastructure needs, aligning with Nvidia's strategy to support the AI ecosystem and maintain its industry leadership amid growing competition.

Microsoft is set to unveil new mini PCs equipped with AI-driven Copilot Plus features, including Recall, Click To Do, and AI-powered image generation, at CES 2025. Asus and Geekom have announced upcoming mini PCs featuring various processors compatible with Copilot Plus, with Asus' NUC 14 Pro AI notably including a dedicated Copilot button on the front.

Rezolve Ai's stock has risen by 8% over the past two days following the announcement of its 2025 roadmap, which includes plans to deepen partnerships with Microsoft and Google. These collaborations aim to expand the reach of Rezolve Ai's Brain Suite—a collection of AI-driven retail solutions offering personalized shopping assistants and marketing tools—through Microsoft's Azure Marketplace and Google's Cloud platform, potentially generating over 50% of the company's projected revenues in the coming years.

Meta: In September 2023, Meta introduced AI chatbots on Instagram and Facebook, featuring celebrity likenesses; while these were discontinued, some entirely fictitious AI profiles like "Jane Austen," "Liv," and "Carter" remain active. Users have expressed confusion and frustration over these bots, particularly due to the inability to block them, prompting Meta to acknowledge the issue and commit to removing the profiles to resolve the blocking problem.

Anthropic has reached a partial settlement with music publishers, including Universal Music Group and Concord Music Group, over allegations of copyright infringement involving its AI chatbot, Claude. The agreement, approved by a U.S. district judge, mandates that Anthropic maintain existing safeguards to prevent Claude from generating or utilizing copyrighted song lyrics without permission, and establishes a procedure for publishers to report any failures of these safeguards.

Google Ads is set to undergo a significant transformation in 2025, with AI at the forefront of reshaping search marketing. Brendon Kraham, Google's VP of Global Search Ads and Commerce, describes this shift as more impactful than the mobile revolution, emphasizing a move beyond traditional keyword searches to multimodal experiences. AccessiBe, which markets an AI plug-in for website accessibility compliance, has faced criticism from advocacy groups and lawsuits alleging its tools fail to meet ADA standards and can even hinder accessibility. The FTC order also mandates transparency in endorsers’ connections to accessiBe, highlighting concerns over its misleading practices and the broader efficacy of automated accessibility tools.
